Triangle Tire technological innovation and range expansion

New tread patterns and a wider product range is what Triangle Tire has been working on in recent years to strengthen its position on the European market. Not only that, in fact, the company has long since begun to invest in marketing campaigns aimed at attracting retailers and encourage the purchase of its products. Triangle Tire has been present in the Italian market for decades and in 2017 its European headquarters opened in Milan. The recent commercial development in Italy has led to the creation of a network with over 200 loyal points of sale under the Triangle Centre brand. In Italy, Triangle relies on Carlini Gomme, with over 11 depots present throughout the Italian territory, for the exclusive distribution of its consumer products. The Triangle range currently caters for cars, SUVs, off-road vehicles and light transport vehicles.

Summer tires

SporteX TH201, represents the show piece in Triangle's Ultra high performance summer range. Designed for sports cars and sedans, SporteX is available in more than 100 sizes from 16 to 24 inches, for cars and SUVs, perfectly at ease in both dry and wet conditions thanks to its asymmetric tread pattern. As for the HP segment, the company offers AdvanteX TC101. This tire contains a new generation high silica compound designed to reduce rolling resistance. The AdvanteX is available in 37 sizes from 15 to 17 inches. On the other hand, AdvanteX SUV is the model Triangle has developed specifically for the SUV segment and represents an important step forward in the company’s product portfolio.

The tread pattern is symmetrical, with 4 wide circumferential grooves and sipes designed to prevent cases of aquaplaning and provide grip even in slippery conditions. This tire is available in 56 sizes from 15 to 21 inches.

All-seasons

The All-season segment has grown exponentially in recent years, in terms of both new products and volumes, and Triangle has decided to invest in this segment developing SeasonX TA01.

Developed in a European research and development centre, SeasonX is a tire designed to equip cars and SUVs alike. The V-shaped tread pattern, the geometry of the central area and the asymmetry of the grooves, join to make driving pleasurable all year round. The in-depth study of the siping pattern and numerous tests carried out in Europe have made it possible to optimize performance on snow and ice, while the compound with a high percentage of silane-modified polymers ensures adequate performance in both summer and winter conditions. SeasonX is available in 49 sizes, 38 of which are dedicated to cars and 11 to SUVs from 14 to 19 inches. In the coming months, the range will expand with the addition of 26 new sizes ranging from 14 to 20 inches.

Off-road

Looking at the Off-Road world, Triangle's offer includes the GripX TR281 and AgileX TR292. Featuring reinforced shoulder blocks with wide grooves, GripX M/T provides traction even on sandy and muddy stretches. Reinforcements on the sidewalls make it a rugged tire that can handle the toughest conditions. The high-silica compound reduces tread deformation, allowing for top off-road handling. GripX M/T is available in 7 sizes from 15 to 17 inches. AgileX A/T is the All-Terrain tire, developed to enhance traction on different types of terrain. Reinforced shoulder blocks increase stiffness while minimizing rolling noise and uneven wear, while the balanced compound makes it easy to tackle both on and off-road driving. Central grooves disperse water rapidly for added safety on wet roads. AgileX A/T is currently available in 46 sizes from 14 to 20 inches.

Light transport

The ConneX Van TV701 is the Chinese manufacturer's latest product and is destined to equip light-duty transport vehicles. Mileage, resistance and load capacity are the main characteristics of modern light transport vehicles, equipped with powerful engines and capable of reaching high speeds. The ConneX Van, thanks to a special tread pattern with high tread-block density, offers a large footprint ensuring excellent performance in terms of rolling resistance. The special design of the grooves proves more “silent” than one would expect. The range includes 16 sizes from 14 to 16 inches.

Triangle Tire's automated factory opened in 2015. The factory produces 10 million car tires despite employing only about 400 operators, most of whom are engineers, divided into three daily production shifts. The innovative Manufacturing Execution System (MES) improves production efficiency by 20 percent. The Triangle plant boasts new compound mixing technologies with energy savings of up to 27% in the processing of raw materials and offers the possibility to recycle the water used in the production processes in order to limit or even eliminate wastewater. The new photovoltaic system saves 4.6 million kWh per year, while the temperature in the production areas is maintained and controlled at 24°C (± 2°), thanks to the innovative structure of the factory.
