This is the case with Hankook, which has recently introduced its new van tyre: the Vantra Transit. Designed specifically for light transport and small delivery vehicles, this summer tyre has been engineered to provide high mileage and low rolling resistance. With this new development, Hankook is responding to the growth in delivery traffic by commercial vehicles of up to seven and a half tonnes gross weight, which, according to forecasts, will rise by 15% throughout Europe. The Vantra Transit combines innovative technologies with robust construction. The optimised tread design and increased tread width guarantee reduced wear and up to 18% higher mileage compared to the previous model. The innovative tread compound reduces rolling resistance by 15%, thereby increasing the tyre’s lifespan and reducing fuel consumption. Thanks to its 3D GripKontrol sipes, which are resistant to deformation, the Vantra Transit offers a 9% shorter braking distance and 13% greater driving stability in wet conditions. “With the Vantra Transit, we are expanding our product range in the light commercial vehicle sector and offering a high-performance solution for transport professionals,” said Jongho Park, President of Hankook Tire Europe. “This tyre combines high mileage with safety and efficiency—crucial factors for professionals who rely on their vehicles daily and need to keep operating costs under control.” The Hankook Vantra Transit is available in 32 sizes from 13 to 17 inches.
