Giti Tire bets on the European market

Giti’s presence in the European market has been growing for some time now, and recently two new products were launched as well as several new sizes for the end of 2021. Among the new products released at the beginning of September we find the GitiWinterW2 and the Giti GAO897 - Giti Tire's first European off-road tire - while as for the GT Radial 4Seasons, the company has added 13 new sizes to those already on the market. All these tires were developed at Giti Tire's European Research & Development Centre in Hannover.

GitiWinterW2

The new GitiWinterW2, designed for compact and midsize cars, sedans, crossovers and SUVs, will initially be available in 13 sizes for 15-19'' wheels, 175-255 widths, aspect ratio 40-65 and T-V speed codes. Compared to its predecessor, this tire has improved aquaplaning resistance, with 14 percent improvement in wet braking, 10 percent improvement in handling and 8 percent improvement in braking distance on dry roads. The tire was designed using AdvanZtech, Giti Tire's globally integrated research and development system. The directional tread pattern redesigned for increased performance in dry, wet and snowy conditions, combined with a state-of-the-art compound developed with a new polymer, are the key features of this product. A shoulder block with advanced tie-bar technology enhances control, while an optimized pitch ratio offers a quiet and comfortable ride. Each tire in the range bears the 3PMSF pictogram.

GT Radial 4Seasons

Launched back in May 2018 at Tire Cologne, the GT Radial 4Seasons can now rely on 13 new sizes, making it suitable for a greater number of passenger cars (8 sizes) and SUVs (5 sizes). The new range of models includes: two additional 14" sizes for city cars and compact sedans, while the more sought-after 215/60R16 has been introduced for small cars; a smaller 17" size for compact sports cars and several 17" and 18" sizes for larger SUVs. The introduction of Europe's number one UHP size - 225/40R18 - on the other hand, offers an all-season GT Radial option for this demanding sector. The key features of the GT Radial 4Seasons are the very wide double grooves that ensure fast water dispersal, thus reducing aquaplaning and braking distance in wet conditions, the latest generation compound which guarantees improved mileage and grip even in the harshest weather conditions, and smaller grooves of different depths that provide greater traction on snow and icy roads and shorter braking distances. As a result, the GT Radial 4Seasons earned a B rating in wet grip across the entire range, with C-D in rolling resistance. The GT Radial 4Seasons too carries the 3PMSF symbol.

Giti GAO897

The Giti GAO897 is Giti's first European off-road tire, designed for vehicles operating on the most challenging and uneven terrains. Available in a 14.00R20 size, the tire was developed to provide traction on unpaved surfaces, mud, sand, gravel and ice, as well as on regular roads. The GAO897 features rugged blocks and wide longitudinal grooves that, combined with a deeper tread pattern, provide superior traction and the ability to overcome obstacles found on the roughest terrain. A state-of-the-art tread compound with anti-cut properties and high abrasion tolerance provide protection against bumps and cuts, while an optimized bead profile makes it easier to mount the tire and improves its resistance in low-pressure conditions. The tire's structure ensures adequate mileage even in the heaviest applications.
