The beacon

Let's start by saying that Autopromotec 2025 will return to its pre-Covid glory, with full halls and the famous "crowded aisles" bustling again. While it's true that the automotive sector in general is struggling with the challenges of the ecological transition - with all the consequences this entails for vehicle and component manufacturers - the vehicle service and repair industry is largely counter-cyclical. The simple reason for this is that when new vehicles aren't being sold, existing ones have to be maintained. In addition, Autopromotec has unique features that set it apart from other similar events. First and foremost, Italy is home to the largest concentration of automotive equipment manufacturers in the world. For those who need to make significant investments to keep up with evolving technology, Bologna offers a one-stop shop for everything available on the market - with the latest technologies, many of which will be unveiled for the first time. The second distinguishing feature is that while some exhibitions focus on a single sector - such as tyres or spare parts - Autopromotec brings together all sectors. Hence, if you're a tyre specialist and want to find out what's new in diagnostics, spare parts, bodywork, carwashes or even oil companies, all you have to do is walk into another hall. The third key feature is the strong international dimension of the event, supported in particular by ICE (Italian Trade Agency) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci), which have invited delegates from all over the world. As a result, many associations - from Bipaver to Figiefa and many others - have chosen Bologna as the venue for their meetings. Through direct interaction and by attending one of the many conferences, visitors will be able to gain an insight into how various issues are dealt with in other parts of the world. The theme of this year's event, which marks the 30th biennial edition (60 years), "Homo faber fortunae suae" - meaning "Every man is the architect of his own destiny" - is a message of optimism. In the midst of many challenges, from 21 to 24 May 2025, Bologna will be a hub of ideas that will guide future investments for at least... another 60 years!
