Safety: Egea publishes guidelines for preventing fumes

For some time now, the manufacturers of extractor systems that are members of AICA have been urging the definition of guidelines that will help professional car repairers to lessen the risk of exposure to exhaust fumes.

With the participation of various associations and experts from all over Europe, EGEA has written and published two interesting documents. The first concerns the risks of exposure to exhaust fumes and gives advice about how to prevent it. The second document is more general and deals with the inhalation of dust and solvents.

Currently in English, the documents will be translated and verified by AICA with regard to national regulations and the Italian version will be distributed to operators. Spreading the culture of safety is in fact one of the Association’s primary objectives.
