The roar of the engines on a race track is just the final stage of a spectacle that fascinates millions of people around the world. Behind the scenes, engineers, designers and software developers, through intuition, research and gruelling tests, produce the engines, bodies, tires, electronic components and equipment necessary to allow both two and four-wheel racers to compete at the highest level whether on the track or in the pit-lane. Autopromotec, the biennial international automotive and aftermarket trade fair, will take place in the heart of the "Motor Valley" and, as always, will promote the automotive aftermarket sector worldwide. This edition will witness the debut of a series of activities aimed at celebrating the close relationship between several companies in the aftermarket sector and the thrilling world of motorsport. During its 2019 edition, Autopromotec will turn the lights on "Autopromotec Motorsport", an initiative sponsored by Aci Sport and the Motorsport section of Anfia (the national association for the automotive supply chain) dedicated to companies that, thanks to their innovation and driving passion for motorsport, have made motorsports history.

The strong link between Autopromotec's exhibitors and the motorsports world has always been evident: several companies taking part in the fair, in fact, play a crucial role in motor racing with high quality components, instruments, equipment and services. During the fair, "Autopromotec Motorsport" will take the visitors through a dedicated route where it will be possible to see and touch the latest hi-tech devices and tools that are normally at home in the pit-lanes. Here, all the exhibitors who have a direct link with the world of motorsports can be identified thanks to the special symbol: a chequered flag with the "Autopromotec Motorsport" logo in the centre. The visit is also supported by a special guide, distributed to professional operators during the days of the event, which will point out all the companies in the sector present at the fair.

In an effort to further highlight the companies involved in such an initiative, an exhibition entirely dedicated to racing will take place in Hall 31 Bis, near the Four-sided portico of the fairgrounds, taking the visitors on a journey dedicated to competitions, among pit-lanes equipped as replicas of the real thing showcasing a selection of ground-breaking devices besides a number of services offered by both associations and institutions as well as schools, universities and other educational institutions. Within the scope of AutopromotecEDU, several conferences will deal with subjects that represent a direct link between motor racing and the aftermarket, such as, for example, a constant search for safety, reliability and performance: "Motorsport as an opportunity for research and product innovation" (22nd May, Link Room, 2.30 p.m./16.30 p.m.) and "Competing and winning in the world of Motorsport depends on qualified and highly specialised human resources" (24th May, Link Room, 10 a.m./3 p.m.). These moments represent a real meeting point between companies, operators, institutions and students, in an effort to develop a highly prestigious and economically important sector.
